Russians can travel to Armenia on internal passports

Russian citizens may enter the territory of Armenia on internal passports since February 23, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at the press conference following his talks with his Armenian counterpart Edward Nalbandian.

The procedure is in effect solely at Zvartnots International Airport in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, and Shirak International Airport in Gyumri, the Spokesperson of the Armenians Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tigran Balayan, said.

Georgia does not accept Russian citizens on internal passports, and therefore these persons will not be able to come to Armenia via Georgia.
