Armenian President signs law "On International Treaties"

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan signed an amendment to the law "On
International Treaties" on Thursday. According to the new version of
the law, from now on the country can enter into contracts with
unrecognized states, RIA Novosti cites the press service of the
Armenian state.

With this law, Armenia will be able to ratify agreements and treaties
with the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

A representative of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Shavarsh Kocharian,
noted that Armenia is the guarantor of security of Karabakh and will
continue to support the unrecognized republic through various
agreements.
