"The FIG is developing, strives to introduce various innovations, including the wonderful lighting, which will be used at this World Cup in Baku. I think that these innovations will be successful with the help of the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation. I am sure that they will be perceived with love by the audience and those watching the tournament on TV. It is really important for us to connect television to the sports process, as new lightning is part of the show. Azerbaijan works for the success of our innovations in all the directions," Arturs Mitskevichs stressed.
Baku has already managed to organize a wonderful tournament, the head of the FIG Technical Committee noted. "The Baku stage of the World Cup is full of good gymnasts: there are Olympic champions, prize-winners and other athletes. Due to the fact that it is one of the first competitions of the new format, I expect an honest and uncompromising struggle. From the judges I expect the correct decisions. We will check all the innovations of these competitions and make sure that everything we did was right," he said.
Arturs Mitskevichs highly estimated the level of organization of tournaments by the Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation. "Baku holds tournaments at the highest level. If the AGF prepares a competition, there is no need to check its work, as everything will be done great. The human resources in the AGF are very important. I remember attending the meeting of the Organizing Committee and it was very interesting to see how such a large and really advanced leading world gymnastics federation works," the head of the FIG Men's Artistic Gymnastics Technical Committee concluded.
