Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe 5th Global forum, which was held in Baku, turned out to be very fruitful, the former Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Wim Kok, said, speaking with the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza on the sidelines of the 5th Global Forum in Baku.
"First of all, I would like to start by thanking and congratulating Baku on the organization of this important event. The President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has played a very important role in it," the politician drew attention.
According to him, it is very important that the current leaders and officials from different countries, as well as former leaders arrived in Baku to discuss the most relevant topics. "First of all, international relations were on the agenda, as the states plan to interact, work together regionally and globally at a time when it is not clear which way the world will choose, when new geopolitical realities arise and it is necessary to address the issues related to the development of new strong states," the ex-prime minister said.
Wim Kok also stressed that excellent relations have been established between Baku and The Hague. "We have very specific projects on a number of issues, including in business. I know that it is an excellent country for the Dutch companies to work and cooperate with," the politician noted.
He highly appreciated Azerbaijan's policy of support to intercultural dialogue. "People profess different religions, belong to different nationalities, and it's nice to see that they live peacefully side by side," Wim Kok concluded.
