Azerbaijan to offer its candidature to host next World Water Congress

The 61st meeting of the Board of the World Water Council is taking place in Baku within the framework of the World Water Week.

During the meeting Gorkhmaz Huseynov, the chairman of Azerbaijan’s water operator Azersu, has stated that since 2013 Azerbaijan has been a member the World Water Council and since 2015 has been represented in the Board of the Council.

"Azerbaijan will propose its candidacy for holding of a meeting of the 18th World Water Congress, the World Water Forum, and the International Water Resources Association," Huseynov said, abc.az reports.

The 61st meeting of the Board of the World Water Council will finish tomorrow, 18 March.
