Jean-Francois Rousse: AGF shows a good example of championships’ organization
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaAzerbaijan is one of the countries, where the international gymnastics competitions are always held at the highest level, the TV coordinator of the European Gymnastics Union, Jean-François Rousse, said today in a conversation with the correspondent of Vestnik Kavkaza on the sidelines of the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku.
"Azerbaijan always hosts competitions very well, and this is one of those countries where the gymnastic tournaments are organized at a very high level. The Gymnastics Federation of Azerbaijan shows a good example of the organization of championships in gymnastics, including, in terms of equipment that is used to conduct the competition. Everything is very well structured and this is very important,’’ he said, adding that he supports the increase in the number of gymnastics championships in Baku in all disciplines.
Also, the UEG TV coordinator highly appreciated the work of the broadcasting services. "A lot of work has been done since my first visit to the competitions in Baku, and I can note a significant progress made in the organization of the TV broadcast. As for the show, everything was done very nice. A very good and interesting idea was the performance of the athletes accompanied by the national music and dances of their country - it was spectacularly and magnificently realized,’’ Jean-Francois Rousse said.
"It would be nice, if at the European Championships in Romanian Cluj, Romania will show something similar to what we saw at the World Cup in artistic gymnastics in Baku," he concluded.
Recall, that the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup was being held on March 16-19 in Baku at the National Gymnastics Arena. Athletes from 23 countries competed for 10 medal sets.
