Ambassador: Armenia has no plans to increase number of diplomatic missions in Russia
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaArmenia does not intend to expand the number of its consulates in Russia, the Armenian Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Russia Vardan Tokhanyan said during Moscow-Yerevan video conference talks.
"At the same time, there is a problem of covering the rest of the territory. For example, about 2000 Armenian citizens live in Kamchatka, so it would take nine hours to get a certificate," Tokhanyan said, adding that Armenia is considering resuming the institute of visiting consuls, NEWS.am reports.
Today, there are four general consulates of Armenia in Russia, they are in Moscow, Rostov-on-Don, St. Petersburg and Sochi.
