What can make Iran agree on new nuclear deal

If we look at who the United States has ever imposed sanctions against, it can be noted that most of these countries are major exporters of energy - over the past decades, sanctions pressure has turned into a powerful weapon of the financial war of American diplomacy.  Despite the fact that the introduction of restrictions is often justified by desire to achieve certain socio-political goals, they primarily affect economies of the attacked countries. At the same time, the United States almost never achieves its official task, because the governments of sanctioned states use negative results of the sanctions policy for ideological and socio-political consolidation of society.

Any economic sanctions, even after their lifting, have protracted negative consequences. For example, just from 2012 to 2013, during revision of the sanctions policy on Iran, growth rate of the Iranian economy dropped to 0.4%. According to the International Monetary Fund, the value of Rial then fell by 40%, and annual consumer price growth index reached 32%. According to results of the same period, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Iran reported drop in income of more than 6 thousand enterprises (approximately 67% of their total number). Four years before Donald Trump outlined Washington's new, tougher strategy for Tehran in October of 2017, the country's unemployment rate was over 12%. Obviously, Iranian economy could not recover during the period of signing of the JCPOA in the summer of 2015 and until next round of sanctions.

Washington's current global policy creates significant obstacles to overcoming the crisis. 0Censorship in the American media has grown under Presidemt Trump when it comes to covering of the issue of US unilateral withdrawal from the JCPOA, most of the media limited themselves to minimum of opinions and points of view, criticizing leadership of the Islamic Republic. Almost all popular American television channels say that Iran seems unconstructive and its nuclear program is a regional threat. This summer US Special Representative for Iran Brian Hook even allowed himself to compare authorities of Tehran to "corrupt religious mafia." Comprehension of any alternative points of view or another way of presentation of information is so minimized that independent experts have virtually no chance of being heard against the background of well-established White House propaganda line.

There's also question of how Iranians can trust Washington, which is proposing  new deal to Tehran. It's necessary to answer it, including by leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran, since republic cannot forever remain under sanction pressure. In 2013, after liberal politician Hassan Rouhani came to power, it led to a compromise on nuclear deal with the 5+1 group (permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany), which resulted in the beginning of lifting of sanctions.
