In the recent past the four exes were close supporters of the president. However, their paths diverged. Irakli Okruashvili was too independent for Mikheil Saakashvili, who tired of his radical military initiatives and offered him a position of the minister of economy. Okruashvili rejected it and went over to the opposition. He was arrested for financial fraud, however, and was set free on a bail of 6 million dollars. He has moved to France and now manages "the resistance movement" from Paris. Okruashvili is a significant political figure in the Georgian radical opposition.
As for Erosi Kitsmarishvili, he had to sell his TV company after the "Rose Revolution". Today he hopes to get it back.
After Russia placed an embargo on importing Georgian wines, ex-candidate for presidency Levan Gachechiladze lost his business. He is still at war with Mikhail Saakashvili.
The only member of the quartet with no "financial component" in his political biography is ex-ombudsman Sozar Subari. He is very useful for the other three exes, due to his clean reputation. However, many political experts find it strange that he strives for democracy side by side with the ex-General-Prosecutor, as he accused him of violation of human rights and democratic freedoms. Perhaps, he seems to blame Mikhail Saakashvili for it.
However, on the 24th of November the four are going to hold their first session in Tbilisi, where the executive boards of the "Georgian Party" will be elected. The leaders haven't declared their program yet, however, they tend to support anti-NATO views. This is evidence of the search for an alternative direction to the country's development.
