Art Night enjoyed by everyone, regardless of nationality or religion

The third annual cultural and educational event ‘Night of Art’ is to be held in Moscow on November 3rd, 2015. A ‘Night of Meetings’ with well-known members of the art community will traditionally become the central part of the event. Public lectures and discussions will be supplemented with night film screenings, readings, author excursions and theatrical interludes.

Zelfira Tregulova, General Director of the Tretyakov Gallery, told Vestnik Kavkaza that “we had extremely varied programs during the last museum night. We had an exhibition dedicated to war, the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra played Prokofiev, Sviridov and Shostakovich. At the same time, 3D mapping show, dedicated to Malevich, Suprematism and the 100th anniversary of the ‘Black Square’, took place in the other part of the building. A DJ played interesting, but extremely original music, based on experiments with music of the Russian avant-garde composers. There was a huge installation in the lobby made by Galina Sladovnikova. She is an avant-garde theater artist and designer. It seems to me that all museums offer different products for different ages, which everyone can perceive, regardless of nationality and religion."

“Every time I visit ‘Night of Art’, or ‘Museum Night’, I am primarily impressed by the atmosphere, rather than the variety of programs, not even creativity, or some truly innovative forms of work with the viewers. This atmosphere is favorable for appreciating this art situation. People come at a very unusual time, they are set for a real holiday. And they are trying to experience all possible positive emotions.”
