The Russian Center for the Reconciliation of the Warring Parties in Syria reports that 61 towns have joined the reconciliation process. There are still negotiations going on with the field commander of an armed opposition group, operating in the province of Damascus. 47 illegal armed groups has already announced that they are committed to the terms of the cessation of hostilities.
At the same time, the number of terrorists in the South-West of Aleppo continues to increase. The militants have tanks and all-terrain vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns. The Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group continues to fight in Aleppo and its suburbs, causing deaths among the civilians as a result of the mortar and multiple launch rocket systems fire.
However, according to the representative of the Syrian opposition, the Secretary of the National Democratic Front of Syria, Mays Kredi, the Russian forces, which helped to reach the ceasefire agreement, helped many Syrians to survive.
After the second round of consultations in Moscow between the representatives of the opposition and the government of Syria, Mays Kredi assured that they both want the same thing – to defeat terrorism and bring peace, though they disagree on the ways to achieve it. "The big question is what groups fighting there today can be considered terrorist and which cannot, Kredi added. - Also I would refrain from listing the countries that finance terrorists. It is clear, what these countries are.
According to Kredi, the Syrian opposition intends to appeal to the international community to put pressure on outside forces, so that they do not interfere in the internal affairs of Syria. She also said that the opposition is trying to resolve the Syrian crisis peacefully: "The Syrians have to save what still can be saved. Today the Syrian people are in need of security and, no wonder, that they show solidarity with those forces, which will help to save the country. The ordinary people would like to maintain their infrastructure, which was devastated as a result of a decision taken by those who paid for these military operations. We believe that a democratic society must be built by honest people. There are such people both in the government and in the opposition. Had it not been so, Syria would have been destroyed long ago. We must search for a consensus. "
