Great Eurasia project integrates integrators

Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin has urged Europe to create new economic union - a large Eurasian partnership, calling this project "Great Eurasia". In his opinion, this project will allow to move towards cancellation of tariff restrictions and strengthening of cooperation, as well as towards establishment of joint work in science and education, which will harmonize the relations between Europe and the CIS countries.

At the same time, Russia plans to strengthen integrational cooperation with China. He was talking about the creation of trade and economic partnership in Eurasia on the basis of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) and the Chinese project of the Great Silk Road. As the first Deputy Minister of Economic Development Alexei Likhachev stated, first consultations will be held in China at the sidelines of the G20 summit, where the meeting between the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and the government of China will be held. It will be the first step in formation of a large Eurasian partnerships with the participation of the Eurasian Economic Union countries, other CIS countries, China, India, Pakistan and Iran in the future.

Meanwhile, the head of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots, Leonid Slutsky, stated that they already managed to construct a new format of cooperation, which is based on parliamentary ties between the integrational blocks of the entire great Eurasia: "This is the Eurasian meeting of parliament speakers, the first session of which was held in Moscow on April 19-20. Speakers of parliaments with their delegations came from all over the Great Eurasia. There were about 160 members of parliament. This is a completely new format, "honed" for decades to come, so that parliaments could build bridges between large integrational associations such as the EEU, the SCO and the ASEAN ".

According to Slutsky, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko's thesis about the "integration of integration" and Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev's thesis that 2016 should be the year of search and establishment of ties between integrational blocks on the great Eurasian continent are being implemented this way.
