The European Games are going on in Baku. The Russian national women's acrobatics team – Zhanna Parkhomets, Julia Nikitina, and Valeria Belkina – won the silver medal.
“We knew our rivals very well. Our rivals were all worthy. I think that only the strong athletes became prize winners,” Zhanna Parkhomets shared her impressions.
Speaking about the atmosphere at the Games, Parkhomets noted that the atmosphere was charged in the hall: “Our fans, a cheering group supported us. They shouted loudly. I would like to thank them very much for this.”
Julia Nikitina also thanked fans for their warm welcome: “They supported us, and it was great. We don’t know them really, but they support us as if we are their relatives.”
Zhanna Parkhomets added that the athletes were satisfied with the execution, but not with the result: “We will continue fighting. We have two performances ahead, two medals. So we will work hard.”
