The Moscow State Institute of International Relations organized a charity concert in order to help children with cancer. The event was called Let's Save Our Future. The performance was organized by MGIMO students with the assistance of the Dagestani, Russian and Azerbaijani communities, and with the support of the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Dagestan of the President of the Russian Federation and the Education Commission of the Public Council under the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Dagestan. Famous Russian pop singers and young students participated in the event.

Emerald Mugutdinova, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Dagestan, told Vestnik Kavkaza: “This is a wonderful social event. Moreover, it was organized by students. Almost all of them were first-year students. It was great that the best Russian singers attended the event. They came to support sick children. The attitude of young children of one of the most prestigious universities in Moscow, the fact that they were able to organize the event and the initiative itself was so perfectly put into practice. It is worth it. I hope that these donations collected today will help the sick children, and at least one child in this world will feel better.”

The head of the charity fund 'Live and Save Other Lives' Leyla Karimova told Vestnik Kavkaza that the fund was formed in 2012 to help children with cancer. “Today's event was organized to help the children of the Republic of Dagestan overcome cancer. Probably it underlines once again that our strength is in our unity. The Azerbaijani, Dagestani, Vainakh and Armenian societies gathered here today. It means that regardless of our nationality and religions we must fulfill our civic duty because we are all Russians. The fact that the initiators of this event were young children, first-year students, whose hearts are filled with a sense of responsibility, humanity and justice, touched me very much. It means that the country's leading institution educates its students in such a patriotic and civic way,” Kerimova said.

All donations collected during the evening were directed to the 'Live and Save Other Lives' fund.
