According to the UN, in the last 15 years the number of migrants in the world has grown by 41%; in 2015 it reached 244 million people. The growth of the number of migrants surpasses the pace of the growth of the planet’s population. Their share in the European countries is more than 10% of the entire population.
Valery Rashkin, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Nationalities, is sure that if such wars as in Yugoslavia, Iraq, Africa and Libya continue, the flow of refugees will continue as well. “Politicians such as Angela Merkel will naturally react. They have already turned in the direction of tightening the law on the entry of migrants. If there are migrants, there should be training courses, there should be conditions of the study of history and traditions; there must be mechanisms to adapt them, including the provision of work. When people are not busy, it transfers into violations of the law,” the MP thinks.
He recommends that European politicians use the experience of Russia: “We are a multiethnic country, even though the ethnic issue has not been completely resolved in our country. But if they do not listen, these politicians will be swept away in the next elections, including Merkel. She is starting to turn around 180 degrees in her statements. I think that an understanding will come quickly that they need to take drastic measures related to limiting the entry and integration of migrants in the country where they have arrived.”
