The event organized by the AzIz association branch in the Israeli city of Kiryat Bialik was dedicated to the anniversary of restoration of Azerbaijan's independence.
During the opening ceremony, head of Kiryat Bialik's Azerbaijani community, Itzhak Khanukaev, congratulated those who attended the event on this holiday and wished well-being and prosperity to brotherly Azerbaijani people.
Host of the event, wonderful singer and head of AzIz branch of the city of Netanya, Tomer Aliyev, invited mayor of Kiryat Bialik Eli Dukorsky to come on stage. He noted the importance of the Azerbaijani-Israeli ties, which have recently been rapidly developing and cover a wide range of areas vital for both states.
Deputy mayor of the city Nahum Rachevsky noted that as a result of expanding ties between Israel and Azerbaijan, several cities on both sides became twin cities, and in the near future Kiryat Bialik will officially become a twin city to İsmayıllı.
Director General of the AzIz association, Lev Spivak, thanked the Heydar Aliyev Foundation for its support under the leadership of First Vice President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva, and spoke about the successes Azerbaijan achieved after the restoration of independence in 1991 and about the importance of achievements in the field of friendly relations between the two countries for Azerbaijani community.
The evening ended with a grand concert program, during which famous Israeli artists of Azerbaijani origin Tomer Aliyev and Sarit Yosef peformed. Performance of musicians Tural Salmanov and winner of the republican mugham performers contest Nigar Shabanova who specially arrived from Baku to participate in celebration of the Independence Day of Azerbaijan in Israel was a highlight of the evening. Performance of young singers from Azerbaijan who live in Kiryat Bialik Odai Rakhavaev and Nathan Danilov was a pleasant surprise for the audience. All participants of the concert were singing live.
