On January 14th the Moscow House of Nationalities hosted a celebration of the 65th anniversary of the honored doctor of the Russian Federation, the Azerbaijani Sabir Gabibov, the winner of numerous awards, who has made a contribution to the development of world medicine in the field of endoscopy. Dr. Gabibov trained a galaxy of young professionals, who continue the noble work of the teacher. Public figures, intellectuals, friends and countrymen have greeted the hero of the day.
Professor and academician of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction, Kamran Rustamov, said: "In the Book of Revelations it is very well written that a doctor treats with words, herbs and a knife. And I am proud that my friend, our hero of the day is fluent in all these methods, these weapons of a doctor. I keep saying ‘a doctor’. You can be a professor, you can be a doctor of science, but not everyone can be a doctor. Healing is more of an art than a science. The science of medicine determines the trend, and healing is when a person has something like an artist, a poet, it must be a gift from God that allows you to see what is around the corner. It cannot be detected by any technical means. You just need to feel it. It should be able to do this. You have to be a doctor to do so. It is very important. It is never said ‘Professor from God,’ ‘Doctor of Science from God’, but "a Doctor from God’ is said. That's the kind of a doctor from God our hero of the day, Sabir Gabibov, is.’’
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia Pollad Bulbuloglu sent a congratulatory letter to the hero of the day. The evening was held in an informal friendly atmosphere. The event was organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
