The US publication The Washington Times writes about the prospects for economic cooperation between Russia and the United States. The allegations that the relations between Russia and America are spoiled and have no points of contact are, in fact, wrong. Despite the deteriorating political cooperation between the two countries, their economic cooperation still has a certain basis, so for example, Russia is the largest importer of US grain and poultry. These factors have always affected the political dialogue between the two countries.
Even now, despite the significant drop in bilateral trade, there is a number of areas that have not been affected by the sanctions, and where US-Russian cooperation is quite broad. The aviation industry is one such example. Russia is the largest supplier of titanium for the Boeing and the Airbus companies. In addition, Moscow buys these types of aircraft, both new and used. There is cooperation in metallurgy, which not only involves Russian supplies of steel billets to the United States, but also investments. Russian companies buying US assets enable collaboration in the production of the high-quality pipes to be used in the future for shale oil production and in a variety of other projects.
Space exploration also remains an area of cooperation between Washington and Moscow. Do not forget that Russia and the USA are the world leaders in space exploration. That is why the sanctions have not been applied to space industry cooperation. US corporations such as ‘Ford’ and ‘General Electric’ are investing huge sums in the Russian market. Despite the fact that some US companies have decided to leave the Russian market, the US investments in Russia have good prospects.
In general, despite the fact that the sanctions hinder Russian-American cooperation, it does not stop. The small volumes of trade are offset by the high level of quality of the products, as well as the desire of large corporations to invest in the economic development of both countries.
The US publication The Trumpet wrote about how the lifting of sanctions against Iran will affect the Middle East in general. Most analysts believe the lifting of sanctions against Iran gives Tehran the opportunity to become a leader of the overall Middle East region in the near future. January 16th, the day of the cancellation of the international sanctions against Iran, was a turning point in the geopolitics of the Middle East. After decades of international isolation, Iran has received the status of a state with a good reputation, and now the country is open to trade, investment and diplomacy.
With its huge economic potential, Iran will be able to restore its position in the world as soon as possible, which it maintained before the imposition of sanctions, and eventually reinforce it. In addition, the strategic importance of the republic cannot be contested against the background of the fight against international terrorism. The refusal of the country's leadership to cooperate with the United States once again underlines the decreasing influence of Washington in the Middle East region, and strengthening ties with Russia speaks in favor of a powerful alliance that is mutually beneficial for both parties.
Most likely, the influence of Saudi Arabia in the region, like the US’s, will come to naught, and the other states in the region will primarily focus on Iran, which will transform in the near future. It is obvious that after the lifting of sanctions against the Iranian Republic, another powerful state will take a leading position in the world.
