Two hours without war in Donbass

The film ‘Let It Be’, created in the framework of the project ‘Business Confidence is Russia’s Future’, has been shown to Donbass residents. The events of the film take place in Russia in 2035. There is a strong, multinational, beautiful, original country in the film. The rapid breakthrough in technology, the will and the mind of the people make Russia one of the world’s leaders. The pole of development shifts to the east, where spirituality and culture, beauty and courage, honor and conscience are preserved. The protagonist Nikita Morozov (Ivan Kolesnikov) is a world-reknowned scientist. The institute at which he works specializes in the analysis and management of crisis situations. The hero has an interesting job, good friends, power, influence and money, but one day his life changes completely because of the feelings of a stranger and betrayal by a comrade. The hero has to make a choice between the imaginary and the real, between decency and meanness, between true love and profitability. The creators say that the film ‘Let It Be’ is breathing with the mood of the mid-20th century’s forgotten movies, where there is a place for love and patriotism.

Yulia Potapova, director of the project ‘Business Confidence is Russia’s Future’ said that this project was created in January 2013, and ‘’we created it to change the image of Russian businessmen in the eyes of our public. And we do it through culture. That means through books, through movies. When we made a film, a film about Russia in 2030, that is, we show the near future and show  that everything will be fine in our future. We show that the future of Russia will be quite successful, thanks to the development of small and medium-sized businesses. When we had a premiere in the Kremlin on May 31, the events were already quite heavy in Donetsk, in the Donbass. It turns out that almost immediately after the first night we were invited to show our film in Donbass. we immediately agreed because it seemed that the only thing we can do for these people is to bring our movie and give them a piece of our warmth, a piece of our heart, because we tried to make a good movie in any way. People were grateful, they said: "We are tired of movies about war. Here we have war every day, and so it surrounds us, but for some reason they bring films about war, show us some stories about war, pictures are shown to us. We are very pleased that we were in a peacetime during these two hours. Thanks to the film, we know that everything will be all right tomorrow. We know what we are living for today. "

"consider it my civic duty to support those people who are standing for the restoration of the union of Russia and Ukraine, just for that, for peace and not for war. Therefore, I consider it my duty to support them. I think this trip is very appropriate. And this film, which is just about how to create a new reality, create a reality without war,’’ the actress Elena Borzova says.  ‘’I believe that small and medium-sized enterprises form the basis, the pillow, which will develop the state and the individual in particular, and culture, because there is no nation without culture.’’
