"Geoffrey Pyatt has become the Governor-General of Ukraine," Mykola Azarov believes

The other day, US ambassador to Ukraine Geoffrey Pyatt visited the Transcarpathian region, where fighters of the extremist organization Right Sector have entered into confrontation with the police, as a result of which three people died and 13 were injured. On his Facebook page the ex-Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov wondered what international agreements regulate such activities of the US ambassador: "Well, if it comes to that, then the ambassador of Hungary should show much greater concern. This region is home to about 150 thousand ethnic Hungarians, many of whom have Hungarian passports ... The US ambassador had time to visit Transcarpathia, while Poroshenko, Yatseniuk, Groisman had not ... in fact, the real owner of Ukraine is the US ambassador. Presumptuous Kolomoisky had to be stopped, Pyatt called him to the carpet, and he immediately became like 'silk'. It was necessary to invite Saakashvili to Odessa, and here again, Pyatt instructs local officials. The Verkhovna Rada does not want to vote for amendments to the Constitution, and here again Pyatt ... in this puppet regime he, in fact, has become the Governor-General. It is necessary to formalize it de jure, add appropriate amendments to the Constitution. Put everyone in their places. Of course, the entire responsibility for the situation in the country, pensions, prices, tariffs, devastation, the war in the south-east, should be laid on the real master of the country.

Meanwhile, as the director of the Ukrainian branch of the Institute of CIS Countries Denis Denisov believes, Mukachevo (Transcarpathian region) is symptomatic of modern Ukraine: "The situation in Mukachevo, in the first place, is probably connected with the so-called volunteer battalions – in Ukraine, as far as I know, no one can count correctly, there are about 50. According to the president and a number of senior officials, they are already incorporated into the government, but as we can see, it's all very relative. And in fact what happened in Transcarpathia is the usual redistribution of influence on the already very minimal financial flows, which have subsequently acquired political overtones. These situations, I am absolutely sure, will continue in Ukraine, because such a huge amount of weapons, which is now in the possesion of people who don't act very predictably, and for money are very willing, for political purposes, to take up weapons in order to sort things out, this is not the first swallow, in fact. This is a trend that will continue."

Denisov is also surprised at the reaction of the authorities to events in Mukachevo: "If initially they were immediately labelled as terrorist actions, then afterwards the authorities once again showed their weakness, and the very fact, and such a step, that according to media reports, these people were surrounded, and then they somehow were in the forests. Now they have been trying to catch them for a week, and no one knows where they are, or whether they will be caught or not. That is, in fact, there was such an unspoken command for this story to be slowed down. It means that the authorities are greatly concerned, because Right Sector, as we know, was supported by the volunteer battalion Aidar. If there will be a consolidated position of the so-called volunteer battalions, in particular Right Sector, Aidar, Azov and other possible ones, it will be a real force that can come in and just take down the current authorities."

According to the results of sociological research, the president and the prime minister of Ukraine have extremely low ratings, an economic crisis is under way, there is no improvement in living standards, Denisov lists Ukraine's problems and concludes that "with such tendencies, during real elections the current representatives of the Ukrainian authorities have more or less highly questionable prospects."
