US and Russian political expert Nikolai Zlobin presented the book titled 'Who's who in Trump's team?', however, he didn't tell who is who during the book's presentation. According to Zlobin, unlike in many other countries, there is no vertical of power in the US: "There are many centers of power. The president's task is not just to command the country, but rather try to find a compromise between different centers of power and to work out a common political solution acceptable to all. In this sense, it is extremely important to understand who works with the president and the people the president works with".
Zlobin admitted that it was TV host Vladimir Solovyov's idea to write the book, who called on to write about the Trump team, so that it would be easier for Russian scientists and politicians to work. "We found out who is really on Trump's team today, who influences his decisions, whose advice Trump takes, whose phone calls he answers, who are people he talks with, who writes him analytical notes and papers," Zlobin said without revealing the names. "We determined the scope of responsibility of each candidate in our book, their connection with Trump, their positions on foreign policy, positions on Russia, of course. Religion, education, family, views, even salaries - we imposed all this on a detail description of who does what, the structure of the nitty-gritty of US political life, and a concrete contribution of each member to the decision-making process".
The book also tells about the governors and Trump's business partners, who still exert and will exert influence on him. "There are people in the Congress, in the media, in financial and banking circles, as well as in military circles he has to work with. And, of course, we wrote about his immediate team, even now they are real American politicians, members of his family, who have a considerable influence on his decision-making process. That is, we have a sufficiently cohesive picture of what constitutes the current power in the US, "Zlobin said.
Commenting on the prospects for Russian-US relations, Nikolai Zlobin expressed the opinion that sanctions against Russia had become a policy: "In one form or another, they will remain forever. They can be strengthened or weakened, but the US and Russian business have already been rebalanced under these new realities, and it's expensive, risky and there is no need to rebuild it backwards... Today, there are no benefits for the US from improving relations with Russia... And Russia does not provide Trump the basis for a conclusion that it will be easier to solve certain things if he starts improving relations with Russia. What can Russia offer the US? Moscow does not want to discuss sanctions, Crimea, Eastern Ukraine and energy problems. And Trump needs some base to at least start a conversation about a possible improvement in relations with Russia. "
