The Kremlin Palace will hold a grand show PIANOMANIЯ classic, under the supervision of Dmitry Malikov. He has recently admitted that he has always been hesitating between being a pop star and a classical performer. He has released about 10 song albums, but became interested in instrumental music in 2005. He released the PIANOMANIЯ album in 2007.
The program is based on the album, with the assistance of notable stage manager Dmitry Chernikhov. French producers were impressed with the Russian singer Dmitry Malikov and invited him to perform. But the program underwent changes. The French insisted on adding classical music to the program. Last year Malikov performed 40 concerts in 27 cities of France.
The new program includes popular classical music and some compositions by the musician himself. The show will last three hours. The New Theater Symphony Orchestra and the Imperial Russian Ballet of Gediminas Taranda will be involved.
Malikov says that the new concert will have 180 performers. It will include such works as the concert for orchestra N1 of Peter Tchaikovsky, “Carmen” of George Bizet, the “Turandot” of Giacomo Puccini, the “Nutcracker” ballet of Tchaikovsky, the “Norm” opera of Vincenzo Bellini, the “Hungarian Dance” of Johannes Brahms, the Ninth Symphony of Ludwig Van Beethoven and works of Mozart, Verdi and Dmitry Shostakovich. It will be exciting for both children and adults.
Malikov will present his program Pianomaniя Classic in Astana on December 4 and in Saint-Petersburg in early 2012. The musician hopes that the show will be seen in other Russian cities, including cities of the North Caucasus. He explained that the authorities are busy with the parliamentary polls. But when the process is over governors will be presented with a shorter program of the show. Malikov expressed hope that politicians will pay more attention to culture, as such shows are part of culture of any nation.
Malikov noted that he is not involved in political life. “People should engage in politics if they have firm convictions and when they understand that you can do a lot of good deeds. I believe that my mission today is music and I haven’t said it all here,” the musician explains. Malikov added that he knows a lot of politicians, including Alexander Khloponin, Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the North Caucasian Federal District, and former Finance Minister Alexey Kudrin.
Dmitry Malikov recorded his 14 best songs on a CD in early September and has already released it.
Part of the income from sales of tickets for the Pianomaniя Classic will be spent on construction of a rehabilitation center for blind and deaf children, which is currently financed by the Malikov Fund. Its construction is to start based on the site of the Sergiyevo-Posadsky Children’s Center in early 2012.
