In late May the Kremlin Palace hosted a presentation of the film 'Let It Be', as part of the project "business confidence is the future of Russia." In the framework of the event, the ‘Power’ award, established by the International Centre for Business Development, was presented. The award was won by the General Director of Vestnik Kavkaza, Ismail Agakishiev.
According to the plot, the action of the film is set in 2035, at a time when Russia has become the undisputed leader on the world stage, leaving the United States far behind. But one thing has remained unchanged – the world is ruled by love. The love of man and woman, love for friends, love for one's native land. Some of the most spectacular shots of the movie were filmed in the mountains of Ingushetia, and ordinary citizens participated in a crowd scene, bravely undergoing the hardships of shooting.
The film's director, Oleg Smolnikov, spoke about the work in the country before the premiere: "To be honest, it was not Ingushetia we were going to choose. Initially we thought about all the regions. Then eventually we decided to look at the Caucasus. And Ingushetia was chosen because my good friend Ibrahim, who at that time worked in the permanent representation of Ingushetia, heard that we were going to shoot a movie, and this episode as well. He immediately suggested: "Let's try." I gave him the script, and the very next day Yunus-bek Yevkurov [the head of the Republic of Ingushetia] gave the nod."
According to Oleg Smolnikov ‘’in Ingushetia there are very hospitable people, everyone who was there helped the ways they could. And we have the best impression of Ingushetia."
The film's producer, Julia Potapova, told Vestnik Kavkaza that "when the film was conceived two years ago, there were no such political situations as now." "We have some idea, we want to show the country and the entrepreneur, but could not find the creative team. Many people received our idea with skepticism. Almost a year later, fate brought us to the director Oleg Smolnikov, who helped to bring the idea to life, not only in a creative, but also in an organizational way as well. Everyone who worked for us, I think they are patriots; we worked a lot, but in a good mood, with an understanding of the ideas and a desire to make a good product. At the same time, we were lucky with the people and circumstances. There was a lot of filming on location, at dawn, at dusk, and we always have the sun shining when needed," she said.
The producer said that many regions are now applying for rental and screening of their premiere. "What they want us to do is not just a screening, but to come with a premiere. The film will be shown in Ingushetia for sure, it only remains to agree on the terms," Yulia Potapova said.
