On the evening of January 10, the train "Ingushetia," which will connect Moscow and Nazran, departed for its first journey from Moscow's Kazanskaya train station. The main advantage of the new train will be speed and comfort. It will cover the roughly 2,000 kilometres separating the Ingush capital from the Russian capital in 36 hours. In the near future it will take the train even less time. The new train consists of 14 coaches of the latest modification. Symbols and the national emblem of the Republic of Ingushetia were used in the interior design of the cars. Representatives of the Ingush diaspora, the leadership of "Russian Railways," Ingush students and pupils came to see the train off.

“To us, for the further development of the country, for attracting investments, for advertising the tourism cluster, this means a lot”, Vakha Yevloyev, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Ingushetia to the Russian president, says. “We already have people today who choose not to travel by air transport but by rail. It is a great joy for the people of the republic of Ingushetia, who previously travelled through Vladikavkaz, Nalchik, Mineralnye Vody and others. Today, there is a much easier route. This will help business a lot as well, because we now have an alternative choice: air transport and rail transport. People who are now able to go to the Caucasus to visit resorts while the ski cluster is developing have already been given easier travel options. I think this already gives us a great opportunity to develop in the right direction. We know that in the West travelling by rail is popular. Why? Because you see lands, you see territories, regions. These regions bring us close”.

Dugurhan Kodzoeva, chief specialist of the press service of the Permanent Representative Mission of the Republic of Ingushetia to the Russian president, recalls her college years: “I had to change trains three or four times to get to Ingushetia, and today there is a direct route”.

“We will not stop here”, Alexander Hrischanovich, First Deputy Head of the Moscow branch of the "Federal Passenger Company", promises. “We have plans to speed up the train by five hours on the average schedule. When it takes it only about 30 hours, it will become competition for coaches, and we will bring passengers to the train”.

“This is a train that will indeed serve as a link between Ingushetia and the center of Russia, Moscow”, Vladimir Kalyapin, First Deputy of the "Federal Passenger Company", says. “It has a convenient schedule, it has been speeded up by five hours in the schedule. We plan to speed it up another five hours. That is, in fact, it will become the fastest train in the North Caucasus, just like the train between Moscow and Kislovodsk. Based on its standards, the quality of service, the service, the cars it will not be worse than the best trains of the "Federal Passenger Company," than "Russian Railways."

“We went inside and looked at each car”, Islam Sychoev, representative of the Committee on Youth Affairs of Ingushetia, says. “We liked very much that we saw clean cars, a very beautiful design, it is very nice to see such a deluxe train, which will run between Moscow and Nazran. We want not only our compatriots to ride this train, but also those who travel from Moscow in the direction of Nazran”.

“Certainly, it is not just the commissioning of a new national deluxe train”, Visingirey Gagiev, president of the Ingush national cultural autonomy, believes. “This event, first of all, is of great significance because it unites a Russian region with Russia itself. This is a political event. Since our train is going to run through half of Russia, our people will communicate with many people, passing through many regions and republics. The strategy of development of national state policy and the presidential decree on strengthening inter-ethnic unity speak precisely about the establishment of routes of communications. This is a type of communication and it is very important.

This is an economic event. We know how mobile how people are - our professionals, our businessmen. This is also a tremendous opportunity to use it comfortably to attract investments, to make other businessmen visit us. That is, there are political, economic, and transportation components there today”.
