On April 24, in Armenia a centenary of the tragic events in Ottoman Turkey was marked. Representatives of many countries expressed condolences to the Armenian people, but unfortunately, it was done along with politicizing of sorrowful date. Sometimes it seemed that the day of sadness turns into a celebration of nationalist ideology. This day is over, there will be other days, which will come to an end, and the only thing to remain is a harsh reality of lives of ordinary citizens of Armenia - ruined economy on the verge of collapse, abandoned houses, millions of the Armenians, who left their homeland in search of a better life abroad. And all this in the background of the enrichment of a handful of Armenian nationalists, amassing material and political capital on misfortune of their own people and their neighbors. The Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven surrounding districts - 20% of the Azerbaijani territory - are under occupation of the Armenian armed forces. Today these seven Azerbaijani districts is a huge uninhabited desert. The UN Security Council's four resolutions on the liberation of the Nagorno-Karabakh and the surrounding regions have not yet been carried out by Armenia. Occupation policy isolated Armenia from participation in the implementation of major economic projects in the region. The once flourishing Azerbaijani land, where people of different nationalities were living in peace and harmony, is fading now. Broken roads, destroyed cities and villages, lack of infrastructure indicates that Nagorno-Karabakh, which is pounded by the Armenian separatists to blockade, is deprived of any prospects, while maintaining the status quo.
