The parliamentary elections in Armenia are going to be held in May 2012, but the unofficial campaign has already begun. The main subject of political discussion is the bill introduced by the authorities. The country's administration is going to conduct a series of reforms, aimed at altering the electoral system.
A prominent opposition party, the Armenian National Congress, has already announced that it's not going to support the reform. Other opposition parties express the same view. However, the bill is going to be introduced anyway and there's no open discussion of it, which shows how limited political freedom is in the country.
In spite of this, the Armenian National Congress will probably be present in the next Parliament, as it has a good chance of obtaining more than 7% of the votes. Other opposition parties also have an opportunity of being present in the legislative body.
The people, however, are sick and tired of both the ruling party and the opposition, as neither have managed to fulfil their promises.
