Trade turnover between Russia and the European Union in 2022 reached an eight-year maximum, according to the European statistical agency Eurostat.
The import of Russian goods to the EU last year reached 203.4 billion euros, which is only 230 million below the record level of 2012.
At the same time, an export from EU countries to Russia was reduced, declining to 55.2 billion euros (38.1% decline) - the minimum since 2005.
