Minister of Agriculture of Georgia Otar Shamugia said that the country increased the export of agricultural products by 17% in January-February 2023.
In the first months of this year, Georgia increased its foreign trade turnover to almost $3 billion (+12.3%). Products were exported for almost $915 million (+20.3%).
The minister announced double-digit economic growth, as Georgia ended 2022 with an 11% export growth, and the last two months showed a 17% growth.
As Shamugia noted, Georgia also maintains the growth of output in fishing industry, forestry and agriculture. Thus, according to him, for 9 months the increase was 14%.
