Starting next year, Georgian citizens will be allowed to travel to European countries only after the prior authorization. Visa-free travel regime with the EU is still operating.
From 2024, citizens of Georgia and other states will be able to enter the EU countries after the preliminary authorization, visa-free regime will continue to operate, the press service of the EU Delegation to Georgia reports.
Citizens of the republic will be able to pass authorization with the help of the Information and Authorization System. Thus, they will be given permission to travel to the European country they plan to visit.
Passing authorization will be possible after providing passport data. Citizens of Georgia, in addition to a passport, must provide an email address, fill out an online form and pay a 7-euro fee.
The authorization period lasts 3 years.
