Armenia's Foreign Ministry has handed a note of protest to Russian ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin regarding a TV program on Russia's Channel 1 that contained unacceptable remarks about Armenia's leaders.
"Russia's ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin was summoned in relation to a television show broadcast on Russia's Channel 1 nationwide television channel on October 23, 2023, which made offensive and wholly unacceptable remarks about high-ranking officials of the Republic of Armenia," the ministry's press service said.
At the meeting, the ambassador was handed a note of protest.
