NATO welcomes Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization efforts

The North Atlantic Treaty Organization strongly supports normalization efforts between Azerbaijan and Armenia, NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy and Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia Javier Colomina said.

"I welcome the joint statement by Armenia and Azerbaijan announcing the mutual release of detainees, other confidence building measures and a clear commitment to reach a long-awaited peace deal. NATO strongly supports these efforts and the normalisation of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan," Colomina said.
