Saakashvili's opponents founded new social movement in Georgia

A new social movement, United Neutral Georgia, was created in Georgia. It was founded by a former member of the ruling party.

Opponents of former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and his associates announced the creation of a new social movement - United Neutral Georgia.

It is expected that in a year, this movement will transform into a party and will take part in the parliamentary elections to be held in 2028.

The founder of the movement is Tbilisi Sakrebulo deputy Vato Shakarishvili, who was previously a member of the ruling Georgian Dream party. Among the founders of the movement are also ex-parliamentarian Bidzina Giorgobiani, lawyer Gela Nikolaishvili, human rights activist Nana Kakabadze and expert Levan Nikoleishvili.
