Moscow is hosting a major international event, the 6th BRICS International Municipal Forum. Representatives of Azerbaijan, which has already applied to join BRICS, have arrived at the forum.
The 2-day BRICS International Municipal Forum 2024 started today in Moscow.
The IMBRICS FORUM has become a significant platform for exchange of experiences and ideas among representatives of regional and municipal governments of the BRICS countries. The event is also an opportunity to establish business ties between entrepreneurs from Russia and other countries.
Representatives of Azerbaijan also took part in the event. Thus, the mayor of Baku Eldar Azizov arrived at the Expocentre Fairgrounds.
Recently, Baku submitted an official application to join BRICS. According to the reports, the application may be considered in October.
The forum is being held with the support of the Presidential Administration and the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The assistance was provided by Rossotrudnichestvo and the Moscow government.
