Ilham Aliyev about the "Great Return"
Yesterday, the President of Azerbaijan said that since the end of the Karabakh war, more than 400 former refugees have returned to the lands liberated from the Armenian occupation, and in total, hundreds of thousands of people will return to their homeland.
He drew attention to the fact that the revival of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur is a priority, large sums of money are allocated for these purposes. The President also pointed out that the most modern projects are being implemented in the liberated territories.
For example, the first smart village - Agali in the Zangilan region – is now being actively built up with the introduction of smart technologies. In the future, new smart villages will be created throughout Eastern Zangezur. Zangilan will also become a smart city.
The Smart Village concept involves the integration of technologies for centralized management. Information systems, schools, libraries, all transport, hospitals, police, power plants, as well as water supply and waste disposal systems will be interconnected.
