The North Ossetian authorities announced the gradual implementation of the presidential task for the complete repair of republican highways that are of federal importance. Some roads have already been repaired, while others are undergoing restoration.
Today, the head of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, Sergey Menyailo, revealed plans to carry out a complete repair of up to 25 km of road surface on key republican routes this year.
Menyailo explained that Ossetian road building companies are obliged to fulfill the presidential task. Vladimir Putin demanded that up to 86% of the main roads in North Ossetia must be restored in the next 2.5 years.
“These are the highways that provide transport connectivity for the entire country,”
– Sergey Menyailo said.
In particular, it is planned to repair 2 km of the federal highway "Caucasus" between Khurikau and Mozdok. 7-kilometer section between Mozdok and Vladikavkaz, as well as several sections of the route from Stavropol to Krainovka and from Mozdok to Russky 1 have already been surfaced.
