25th anniversary of Ingushetia and Karachay-Cherkessia celebrated in Kremlin

Concert on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Ingushetia and Karachay-Cherkessia was held at the State Kremlin Palace. Traditional clothing of the Caucasian peoples were shown during fashion show, held as part of the celebration.

This event was attended by heads of Ingushetia and Karachay-Cherkessiam Yunus-Bek Yevkurov and Rashid Temrezov, Federation Council chairwoman Valentina Matviyenko, first deputy head of the Presidential Administration Sergey Kirienko and deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets.

"Dear friends and colleagues, I would like to express my sincere congratulations on the 25th anniversary of formation of the Republics of Ingushetia and Karachay-Cherkessia. It is important that you celebrate this anniversary together at the main concert platform of the country. This is a clear evidence of friendship, mutual understanding and cooperation of the peoples of not only the Caucasus, but also the peoples of Russia," Valentina Matviyenko said.

"The past 25 years were truly important for both republics. Ingushetia and Karachay-Cherkessia have changed. During trips to these regions I was able to see with my own eyes how the economy and social sphere have developed. I saw large-scale projects that are being implemented there. All these achievements are the result of hard work of hardworking people of your republics. Relying on traditions, Ingushetia and Karachay-Cherkessia are moving forward, which helped to establish peace in the North Caucasus," she noted.

"Today, both republics make a great contribution to ensuring Russia's security, to the development of our economy, social sphere of our democratic state. I would like to sincerely thank leaders of the republics and all residents of these republics for your work, for your love for your native land, for your patriotism," she concluded.

"Both republics are approaching this anniversary with good growth rates, with a growing economy, developing industry, tourism and agriculture. But the most important thing is the growth of people's well-being, the development of folk crafts. I want to congratulate all residents of the republics of Ingushetia and Karachay-Cherkessia on this wonderful holiday and wish them new victories, new achievements and new successes," deputy head of the Presidential Administration Sergey Kirienko said.

"I would like to congratulate everyone here on the 25th anniversary of our remarkable republics. People who live in these republics are famous for their history, their military achievements. People of Ingushetia and Karachay-Cherkessia created their own legacy and continue to add something to it every day. I often visit the Caucasus and I want like to note that these regions are very dynamic," Olga Golodets said.

"A lot of congratulatory telegrams were sent to the republic. I want to sincerely thank all those who congratulated Ingushetia on this holiday, on our anniversary. Of course, we couldn't achieve so many things without the help of federal government. We receive tremendous, colossal help. I would like to express my gratitude to all of our federal ministers, our leaders," Yunus-Bek Yevkurov said. He also congratulated Rashid Temrezov. 

"I want to express my sincere gratitude to the government of Russia, Presidential Administration, to Valentina Matviyenko and the entire Federal Assembly for tremendous support and assistance that you are providing today to our republics. Of course, I also want to congratulate my brother Yunus-Bek and all residents of the beautiful Republic of Ingushetia on this holiday," Rashid Temrezov said.
