42 new cases of coronavirus were reported in Uzbekistan as of May 23 morning bringing the country's total to 3078, AKIPress reports.
All confirmed new cases were imported, the Health Ministry said.
The infection was detected in citizens placed in the quarantine center after arriving from St. Petersburg by chartered flight (38 people) and from Tajikistan (2 people), as well as in 2 truck drivers who entered the country through Kazakhstan.
2,492 patients have fully recovered from the coronavirus in the country.
573 patients are being treated in hospitals, 4 are in serious condition.
So far 13 coronavirus-linked deaths were reported in Uzbekistan.
