4th constituency of Baku’s Khazar district on preparations for elections

On Sunday, November 1st, Azerbaijan will hold parliamentary elections. Vestnik Kavkaza learned about the preparation for elections in the fourth constituency of Baku’s Khazar district, where Azerbaijan’s Central Electoral Commission (CEC) registered the candidacy of the president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, member of Azerbaijan’s parliament, the deputy chair of the ruling party 'Yeni Azerbaijan', Mehriban Aliyeva.

"82% of voters participated in the last elections, and the main activity is observed until about 15:00. Only citizens who turned 18 can vote. The Khazar district mainly consists of villages, each of which has its own village council. We also have special symbolic gifts from the CEC for those who will vote for the first time – notepads, pens and so on," the representatives of the polling station said.

"There are no campaign stands in the polling station, they are not allowed, but you may see them at the entrance. Every polling station station also has a lock box to keep ballots. However, only the chairman of the station has access. If someone cannot vote, we have a visiting group. At the same time, we do not practice early elections. As for the press, they will be able to go freely to the polling station on election day," they summed up.
