On Monday, September 26, the 66th annual session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) opens in Vienna.
The event will be attended by representatives of 175 IAEA member countries.
The main topics of the meetings will be the report for 2021, the 2023 budget and the prospects for the increase of activities related to nuclear science and technology. In addition to this, delegates will discuss the activities of the IAEA in the field of nuclear security and security, in particular security and safeguards in Ukraine, the Middle East and the DPRK.
The IAEA General Conference will traditionally be held at the Vienna International Centre (VIC) and will last until 30 September.
At the same time, the VIC will host a scientific forum on topics related to nuclear technology and science, TASS reports.
