86% voter turnout recorded in Turkmenistan

The voter turnout in the presidential elections in Turkmenistan amounted to 86.34% at 15:00 local time, the press service of the CEC of the republic reports.

”By 15:00, 86.34% of voters cast a ballot in the presidential elections in Turkmenistan," the report reads.

It is noted that 87.22% of voters voted in Akhal velayat, 89.71% - in Balkan velayat, 85.15% - in Dashoguz velayat, 85.39% - in Lebap velayat, 86.70% - in Mary velayat, and 86.76% - in Ashgabat. Also, 74.16% of voters cast their ballots at polling stations outside the republic.
