The World Cup in Trampoline and Tumbling in Baku is very well organized, Brazilian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Manuel Montenegro said today in an interview with Vestnik Kavkaza.
"So far I see that's it's very well organized, there's a lot of young talent. All athletes look good, they're very friendly and knowlegable about what's going. That's a big effort," he said.
"On the part of Brazil, we're bringing a small but very high level team, two gymnasts, who will be competing this afternoon. We have very high hopes for them," he noted.
Speaking about cooperation between Brazil and Azerbaijan in sports, he said: "I intend to work a lot on that. We have an agreement with Azerbaijan. One of the first ageements we have is for cooperation in sports. I'm in contact with footbal federation in Brazil, and they told that they would like to offer exhibition matches for Azerbaijani teams against professial teams in Brazil."
The World Cup in Trampoline and Tumbling is set to run from February 16 to 17 in Baku. Some 200 gymnasts from 30 countries will take part in the championship.
