Abkhazia has established diplomatic relations with the Donetsk People's Republic today, the press service of the republic's Foreign Ministry has spread this message.
"On March 9, 2022, the Republic of Abkhazia and the Donetsk People's Republic established diplomatic relations via the exchange of notes", TASS quoted him.
The ministry added that a draft interstate treaty on friendship and cooperation is being prepared. It will form the basis of the emerging legal framework between Abkhazia and the DPR.
"The Republic of Abkhazia and the Donetsk People's Republic support the Russian Federation's course aimed at the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine", the Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia noted.
Let us remind that earlier the President of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhaniya issued a decree recognizing the independence of the DPR and LPR.
