The United Airports of Georgia announced sale of state-subsidised airline tickets for supporters to attend the Euro 2024 knockout round match between Georgia and Spain on June 30.
Director of the UAG Irakli Karkashadze said Georgian Wings and Georgian Airways would carry passengers on the flights.
"We need to keep writing history now against the Spanish national team. Therefore, we need to mobilise as many Georgian fans as possible at the Cologne Stadium. At the request of the Georgian Government, the airports union immediately started working on additional charter flights once our team defeated the Portuguese team and won a historic ticket to the playoffs”, Karkashadze said.
Four charter flights will operate from Tbilisi to Cologne and back starting on June 29, with supporters able to travel to the German city on Saturday at 12pm and 7pm and on June 30 at 4:30am. The return flight will carry them back to Tbilisi on Juny 2 at 3pm.
The price for one-way tickets has been set at ₾552 (€195), similarly to subsidised tickets for group stage matches, and have been made available through TKT.ge platform starting June 28.
