Kazakhstan's Anti-Corruption Service has detained a commercial director of Star Time LLP - member of the Aktobe regional maslikhat (a local representative body) and member of the commission for issues of its members' powers and ethics, law and order and PR, Interfax-Kazakhstan reported.
He is suspected of complicity in large-scale embezzlement (20 million tenge).
A pre-trial investigation was commenced. The ma was placed in a temporary detention centre.
