Contribution of Azerbaijani specialists to development of the Tyumen region is very large, and close ties between the Tyumen and Azerbaijani companies remain to this day, governor of the Tyumen region, Alexander Moor, said in an interview with Vestnik Kavkaza.
"It's hard to overestimate the role of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani specialists in the development of the Tyumen region. In my opinion, you can even make very interesting cultural project on the ties between us," he said.
"As you know, during the development of the Tyumen region, as well as the Siberian oil and gas complex as a whole during the Soviet period, our main experts were oilmen from Azerbaijan - and all of them are still revered to this day," Alexander Moor noted.
"Specialists from Azerbaijan will be present at the 10th Tyumen Oil and Gas Forum. Azerbaijani companies have close business ties with Tyumen companies. Our ties are long-standing and becoming closer each year," governor of the Tyumen region said.
"I think that our forum will have an interesting discussions, including with participation of Azerbaijani companies," he concluded.
