One of the key reasons for the state Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is in, as well as its current escalation, was the negligent implementation of the commitments of the OSCE Minsk Group. This statement was made today by the Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Chairman-Executive Secretary of the ruling 'Yeni Azerbaijan' party, Ali Ahmedov.
"If the Minsk Group had adhered to a fair position, not trying to put the occupier and the party under occupation on the same scale, and would offer the right 'recipe' for a resolution of the conflict, most likely the conflict would already have been resolved and this confrontation, which has led to tensions in the South Caucasus, would not have happened," Trend quotes him as saying.
