The assistant of Iranian spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on international affairs, Ali Akbar Velayati, may arrive in Russia on April 19-20 to participate in the forum on the development of the SCO, the executive secretary of the Forum's organizing committee, Konstantin Zatulin, said.
He said that they have sent 150 invitations and have already received about 40 positive responses, including from Syria, Iran, Indonesia and Afghanistan.
"The assistant of spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on international affairs, Ali Akbar Velayati, will take part. We talked with him personally during his previous visit to the Russian Federation," RIA Novosti cited Zatulin as saying.
