In Russia, in the first half of 2020, about one million crimes were recorded, the Prosecutor General's Office informed.
"According to the results of the first six months of the year, the previously noted insignificant decrease in crime slowed down (from 0.4% in May to 0.1% in June). As a result, the total number of registered crimes remained practically at the level of last year (one million)," the document reads. A decrease in crime is noted in four of the eight federal districts - the North Caucasus, Far Eastern, Siberian and Ural, and in more than a third of Russia's regions - 35 out of 85.
