Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan has appointed Armen Gevorkyan as the secretary of the National Security Council.
Introducing Gevorkyan to senior officials of the National Security Council, Sargsyan said he has sufficient experience to properly perform the complicated duties of the National Security Council secretary, ARKA reports with reference to the presidential press-service.
Armen Gevorgyan held previously various senior positions in the government.
The position the secretary of the National Security Council was vacant since 2014 April, when Arthur Baghdasaryan resigned.
