Armenia bans thin plastic bags

From today, it is impossible to buy plastic bags in Armenia, the density of which is less than 50 microns. Thus, only the thickest ones are allowed in the country.

The sale of plastic bags at all trade objects and their use for the delivery of goods is prohibited, Sputnik-Armenia writes.

The corresponding law was adopted back in April 2020. By January 1, 2022, supermarkets prepared for the ban: 6 months ago they began to sell and use paper and cloth bags.
